Plan Your Visit

The prize-winning photographs presented in World Press Photo 11 showcase the creativity of photographers and developments in photojournalism worldwide.

World Press Photo 11 consists of prize-winning images of everyday life and headline news, including photographs captured during recent or ongoing conflicts. The latter build upon the Museum’s displays of post-Cold War conflict and underline how these events continue to shape our world.

World Press Photo 11, a travelling exhibition that will be presented in more than 100 cities across 45 countries, “offers an overview of how press photographers tackle their work worldwide and how the press gives us the news, bringing together pictures from all parts of the globe to reflect trends and developments in photojournalism.”

World Press Photo 11 is sponsored worldwide by Canon and TNT.

This exhibition is developed and circulated by World Press Photo. The Canadian War Museum is the first of three Canadian venues on the international tour.
