This mock telegram from "One of Currie's Canadians" in a "Front Line Trench, Somewhere in France" to the tobacco farmers of Canada, requests the donation of two of every 100 pounds of harvested smoking tobacco. Tobacco, described here as "a necessity," was ? like rum - important to the troops morale.
