Lewis Light Machine-Gun
The Lewis gun provided an infantry section or platoon with added fire support and was light enough to carry forward rapidly in an attack. Issued to British, Canadian, and Commonwealth troops in the summer of 1915, the Lewis was air-cooled and fed by a 47-round magazine.
